This blog was created in an effort to offer a comprehensive study on Kenya that utilizes academic sources. Designed to help explore Kenyan history in a unique format, the website is divided into three sections- pre-colonial Kenya, colonial Kenya, and independent Kenya. Pre-colonial Kenya stretches from the earliest human history to the onset of colonialism. The section on colonial Kenya centers on the development of British rule, the “Mau Mau” Emergency, and decolonization. The post-colonial page touches on politics, social movements, and cultural elements.
